This compact first stage is a time-proven workhorse that has been embraced by the technical community around the world.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
DS4 first stage – no rotating turret. Unique over-balanced, diaphragm design - as the diver descends, the over-balancing feature allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to increase at a rate faster than ambient. This results in superior performance at depth. An environmental dry system keeps water out of the main spring chamber thus preventing ice buildup and keeping silt and contamination out.
Dry sealed system suitable for cold water diving. No turret. 4 MP port 3/8 UNF 1 HP port 7/16 UNF.
Available in INT (A-clamp) and DIN (300bar)

Als je geen turret nodig hebt voor slang routering is dit volgens mij een super keus. En zeker voor dat geld !

Als je geen turret nodig hebt voor slang routering is dit volgens mij een super keus. En zeker voor dat geld !
Op zoek naar een eerste trap, 300 bar DIN, full metal, én aardig geprijst, kwam ik uit op de Apeks DS4.
Mijn eerste indruk is positief. Wat een indrukwekkend apparaat. Hij voelt gewoon robust en schept hoge verwachtingen. De tijd zal het leren of hij die ook gaat waarmaken.
Eén punt van zorg heb ik wel. Het druk membraan oogt kwetsbaar. Niet voor duiken maar voor transport. Daar heb ik zelfl een beschermkap voor gemaakt om transportschade te voorkomen. Een automaattas is natuurlijk ook een optie.
